Nolvadex

INTRODUCTION

Human health, as we know it today, has been compromised by several illnesses and diseases. The human immune system can only fight a few of these diseases. Have you ever had an illness, infection, or a disease? You know how you felt, right?

There are lots of diseases ravaging human health today, one of which is cancer. It is a disease that causes tissue cells to go through rapid and uncontrolled growth. It affects different parts of our body. We have lung cancer, pelvic cancer, ovarian cancer, blood cancer, prostate cancer, brain tumor, breast cancer, and a lot more.  In this article, we will discuss a phenomenal drug that is designed to treat breast cancer. It is so effective that it is currently being tested to treat other types of cancers. It is called Nolvadex. This article contains all you need to know about Nolvadex. Let’s delve in!

WHAT IS NOLVADEX?

Nolvadex is actually a brand name for Tamoxifen citrate tablets. It also has other trade names like Genox, Tamoxifen, TMX, ICI-46474. The IUPAC name for Nolvadex is (Z)-2-[4-(1,2-Diphenylbut-1-enyl)phenoxy]-N,N-dimethylethanamine. The first time this drug was made was sometimes in 1962 by Dora Richardson, who was a chemist at that time.

WHAT DOES NOLVADEX DO?

Nolvadex treats several diseases. These are:

BREAST CANCER

The Nolvadex is an all-important drug that was designed primarily to treat all forms of breast cancer in women and even men. Once you are diagnosed with breast cancer, Nolvadex is the best medication for you. For more than ten years, Nolvadex has been very reliable for treating breast cancer patients in America and abroad.

GYNECOMASTIA

This word looks massive, right? No, it isn’t. It simply means excessive growth of breasts in males. Nolvadex does not just treat breast cancer. It treats a couple of other diseases too. If you are a male and you are noticing symptoms of gynecomastia, such as sensitivity in your nipples, Nolvadex works well to prevent a growth.

PREMATURE PUBERTY

Premature puberty occurs in children suffering from McCune-Albright syndrome. The introduction of Nolvadex helps reduce the rate of bone growth. This, of course, slows down early puberty and its complications.

INFERTILITY

Are you surprised? Don’t be! Nolvadex is also used to treat infertility, and it works just well. Women who are not able to ovulate can take a dosage of Nolvadex for ovulation induction. If you are in dire need of a child, don’t give up yet. Try Nolvadex.

HOW TO USE NOLVADEX

The best thing to do before taking in any drug is to go through the medication guide or search online. Nolvadex is usually administered orally. That is, you take it into your body through the mouth. It comes in 10mg tablets and 20 mg tablets. It also comes in liquid form. Although most people prefer to eat before taking Nolvadex, you do not have to bother about eating before taking the drug. The best dosage which goes with treating breast cancer is at least 20mg and at most 40mg per day. This means that you can use the 10mg tablet up to twice or three times per day. When you administer Nolvadex three times per day, you will complete the treatment within two years. If you decide to administer it twice a day, you will complete the procedure in about five years. However, research shows that treatment for five years causes a reduction in mortality rate and reoccurrence. So, you should administer one 10mg Nolvadex tablet twice in a day – which is 20mg – for five years to get effective results.

When you are taking the liquid form of Nolvadex, it is better to make use of a measuring spoon instead of a tablespoon or teaspoon, to use the right prescription. In other methods, you can absorb it through the skin or your lungs, although, it could cause potential harm.

HOW DOES NOLVADEX WORK?

The effects of Nolvadex in the system depends on what you are treating. The female body contains a sex hormone called estrogen. This is what allows the development of sex organs in the body system. When treating breast cancer, the administration of Nolvadex starts what is called, “anti-estrogenic activities”. These activities prevent, inhibit or control the secretion of estrogen to the mammary glands of the females. It fights against the estrogen. This reduces the rate at which cancer (or lumps) grows in the breast, and helps destroy such cancerous tissues over time.

When treating infertility, Nolvadex causes “estrogenic activities” to occur in the reproductive systems. More estrogen will be produced majorly in the ovaries of the woman. This helps to induce fertility in women.

HOW LONG DOES NOLVADEX TAKE TO KICK IN?

Nolvadex is a drug that is quickly absorbed into the body system. Absorption could be from the mouth to the digestive system. Upon absorption, it takes about four to six hours for Nolvadex to kick in. If you continue to administer each dosage according to prescription (daily) for about six weeks, Nolvadex, also called tamoxifen, will have concentrations in the major organs of your body like the ovary, the liver, the mammary glands and other major organs. If you are treating breast cancer, there will be high concentrations in the breast. If you are treating infertility and other puberty-related diseases, there will be high concentrations around the reproductive system.

WHEN TO TAKE NOLVADEX

Once you begin the dosage, you have to use it every day until the treatment is completed. This usually takes up to five years though, but it is very effective. Nolvadex can be used twice daily, that is, morning and night. It could also be taken three times daily, that is, morning, afternoon and night. This usually lasts for two years.

CONCLUSION

If you are starting to get gyno it’s time you look at Nolvadex as an option to help stop the spread. This can be purchased and delivered to you within 3-5 days anywhere across Canada.
